Service Description
Developed and taught by a former NASA astronaut instructor and STEM Education Lead at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, our course begins by introducing students to the vast Universe, engaging them in discussions about major cosmological concepts, and humanity's place in the cosmic expanse. We provide a unique perspective on our planet, fostering a planetary view that emphasizes interconnectedness across various scientific disciplines. Building upon this foundation, we dive into the origin and properties of the Solar System. Students actively participate in selecting promising destinations for astrobiology research, planning missions, and navigating potential hazards. We emphasize the holistic view, encouraging ethical and legal reflections on space exploration and terraformation. This comprehensive and forward-thinking approach not only equips students with a solid scientific foundation but also prepares them to thrive in the ever-changing landscape of the future.
